Our showroom has an extensive display of the options available for Altair® Louvre Windows by Breezway®.  Here is an overview of the 3 frame options for your Altair Louvre Windows.

Easyscreen® frame

Breezway Easyscreen Louvre Frame

The Easyscreen frame – Most popular framing option for when you want a screen on your window

  • 131mm deep
  • aluminium window frame is custom designed for the Altair Louvre
  • allows for easy fitting of insect or security screens
  • D Bar Security or Stronghold (see Security & Stronghold section for more info)
  • keylock is standard
  • can have fixed lites alongside, above or below louvres

SL2® (or Slimline) frame

Breezway SL2 (Slimline) Louvre Frame

The SL2 frame – for narrow applications and when screening is not required

  • 52mm deep
  • aluminum frame is custom designed for the Altair Louvres
  • slim profile window frame
  • ideal for narrow frame applications where screening is not required
  • Stronghold System can be added (see Security & Stronghold section for more info)
  • keylock is standard
  • can have fixed lites alongside, above or below louvres

Louvre Component System (Galleries)

Breezway Altair Component System

Component System – Altair galleries and components for use in your own finished timber frame

  • cost effective louvre solution
  • great when you want a slim look as there is no outer frame
  • weatherstrip makes the window seal correctly to comply with the Product Performance Warranty
  • mullion strips enables multiple bays to be constructed (fixing brackets available)
  • backing strips are used if you don’t want screw holes in your galleries
  • screw holes can be manufactured into galleries for easy installation

Once you have chosen your frame type, you can choose:

  • Louvre window colour : note you should pick from the standard window & door colours if you are ordering other products too
  • Blades: blade height is important before working out final height of window; also pick your blade material & colour
  • Control methods: handle type can be selected; What if your louvre is up high? Map rod or powerlouvres may be an option
  • Security: view the security options for your louvre windows
